About Kronoscript

Version 0.9.0 beta · Built May 11, 2026

A social network for your history — the only one where your past matters as much as your present. One bit at a time. One memory at a time.

What is this, exactly?

Kronoscript is a quiet place to write down the memories that made you, share them with the people who were there, and slowly build a record of your life that you (and the people you choose) can read for years. It's deliberately not Facebook — there's no algorithm pushing strangers into your feed, no advertising, no "highlights from 6 months ago" guilting you into engagement. Just you, your past, and the people you actually know.

Who builds it?

Kronoscript is a passion project of a really small team — just one person. One developer who thought "where do I write down the things I'm afraid I'll forget?" and got tired of the answer being a Google Doc nobody else can read.

Some practical consequences of being a one-person team:

  • Features ship when they're ready, not on a roadmap.
  • Bugs sometimes take a few days to fix. If something is broken, please email and I'll triage it personally.
  • There's no support tier, no SLA, no enterprise plan. There's a tip jar (Ko-fi) for anyone who wants to keep the lights on.
  • If I get hit by a bus, the database snapshots and a graceful migration plan are documented. Your story isn't a hostage.

What it costs

Free and ad-free. We want to keep it that way — and the way we keep it that way is donations (a Ko-fi tip jar in the sidebar) plus, eventually, an optional Pro tier for printing, ghostwriting, and bookbinding. The core "write down your life and share it" functionality stays free. Whether we stay ad-free depends on enough people chipping in to cover server costs; your support is what makes the model work.

Where it's going

Things on the near-term list, in no particular order: family group accounts, memory prompts that surface at the right time, a print-quality book export, better mobile apps, and a few features I haven't decided to talk about yet. Patience welcomed.
